Update on Payment and Platform Changes

To Sellers,

We’ve been working on transitioning Muthurwa.com to a different business structure.

Recently, we’ve faced significant challenges with our payment processing system, including how payments are received and managed. As the platform grew, these issues became increasingly difficult to handle.

In particular, we’ve had to deal with cases of customers reversing payments or initiating chargebacks, which has sometimes affected our account making it difficult to process payments for a while.

As a small business, we have recognized that, over time, it would become unsustainable to manage these transactional challenges, and our financial accounts may be significantly impacted.

As a result, we have decided to step back from handling payments and will instead let sellers manage transactions directly with their customers. This means you will get 100% of the sales.

The “Buy Now” button will be replaced with a “Contact Us” button. This will allow customers to reach out to you directly for payment arrangements. To control who can view your contact details, we will add an option to select if you prefer your contacts (email or phone) to be displayed publicly or not

These changes will fully come into effect by mid-January 2025.

Pending Payments

As mentioned previously, we are still experiencing issues with our third-party payment processors. We expect these issues to be fully resolved within six months, and all pending payments will be issued by April 1, 2025.

Please note that if you haven’t withdrawn all your payments by March 31, 2025, order data will be deleted, and unfortunately, we will not be able to process any payments.

We will begin to respond to any pending email inquiries promptly once the migration process is complete and the platform has stabilized.
